Boarding Information & FAQs
-
What exactly is dog boarding? It’s like a little vacation for your dog while you’re away. At The Fur Seasons, they’ll have a comfy place to stay, time to play, and lots of love from our team while you’re off doing your thing.
-
What if my dog doesn’t like other dogs?Totally okay! Not every pup wants to hang with the pack — we offer personalized, one-on-one playtime and attention if your dog prefers humans over other dogs.
-
Do I need to bring my dog’s food?We recommend it! Keeping them on their usual food helps avoid any tummy troubles. But don’t worry — if you forget or prefer otherwise, we have a high-quality, sensitive-stomach option on hand. We also have a full Dog Dining Menu with snacks, meals, and treats — because why not spoil them just a little?
-
Is someone there with the dogs overnight? While staff isn’t on-site overnight, our facility is equipped with 24/7 monitored security and video surveillance, so your pup is never truly “alone.” We also open early and close late to match your schedule and make drop-offs easier.
-
Can I bring my dog’s bed, blanket, or toys?Yes, but keep it simple. A labeled blanket or soft toy is great for comfort. We provide luxury bedding, so you don’t need to bring much. Please skip bulky beds or anything that could get chewed up and become unsafe.
-
What happens if my dog gets sick or injured? If something feels off, we act fast. We’ll contact you right away and follow your instructions or vet info on file. If it’s urgent, we’ll make sure your pup gets care immediately — no guessing, no delay.
-
Do you offer a military or first responder discount? We sure do. All active and retired military, law enforcement, and first responders get 10% off as a thank-you for your service. Just show us your ID when you check in.
-
Can you give my dog medication?Absolutely. We’re happy to administer pills or topical meds for just $2. Just make sure everything’s in the original packaging with clear instructions from your vet.
-
How do I book a stay?Easy! Call us at 915-600-7449 or book online through our website. We fill up quickly on weekends and holidays, so the sooner, the better.
-
What vaccinations are required?Your pup needs to be current on: • Rabies • DHPP (Distemper/Parvo) • Bordetella (within the last 6 months) If you’re not sure, just ask your vet to send us your records!
-
What are your drop-off and pick-up hours?• Monday–Friday: 7 AM – 7:00 PM • Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM • Check-out Time: 12:00 PM (Late check-outs are $20 after noon unless paired with a grooming service.)
-
Can my dog get a bath before coming home?Definitely. If your pup stays 3 or more nights, we offer a fresh Exit Bath for $30 — perfect for coming home clean and snuggly.
-
Can I tour the facility before booking?Absolutely. We love showing pet parents around — just call to schedule a quick tour during business hours. You’ll see where your dog will sleep, play, and relax.
-
My dog is nervous or has never boarded before — is that a problem? Not at all. We’ll go at their pace. Some dogs settle right in, others need a little time — and that’s okay. We offer trial daycare days and plenty of one-on-one attention to help ease them into the experience.
-
Will my dog be barking the whole time?Unlikely! Dogs do bark when excited (especially at drop-off), but our environment is structured, supervised, and calming. We also use soft music and individualized routines to reduce stress.
-
What do the dogs do all day?Lots! Depending on your dog’s temperament, they’ll enjoy supervised group play or individual sessions, nap breaks, and outdoor potty time. Think of it as doggie summer camp.
